Is 7 Figures Really Enough?

What does ‘enough’ really look like for you?

In marketing, we throw around words like ‘7-figures’ and ‘work 4 hours a day’’ because they communicate big goals and dreams very effectively.

No one wonders whether 7-figures mean success.

I’ve never met anyone who thought having more time for family dinners and being next to the field at the hockey match is not a good idea.

As a marketer, and great conversion copy writer (if I may say so myself 😜), I use terms like these all the time.

Because they work.

They are clear.

They aim high!

They remind us of our bigger ambitions, and we need that.

Especially in those moments when life starts creeping into your ‘business only’ hours and…

You have to pick the sick kid up from school which means the podcast episode gets recorded at 9pm and you’re too tired to go to the gym the next day.

You have to take the dog to the emergency vet which means the morning you set aside to record Reels, go out the window and you know you’ll pay the algorithm’s price for posting inconsistently.

You have to help your friend move because her divorce has left her without money to get a mover so your launch gets pushed another week and that means you end this month with just enough revenue to pay the bills but not enough to pay you.

Then words like ‘7-figures’ and ‘4-hour work days’ can have the opposite effect and actually leave you feeling…well, small.

Or behind.

I see this pattern, and I think that sucks, and I want to share something with you today.

It’s totally ok if your big goal is not the same as the guru on Instagram’s big goal.

Not everyone has to make 7-figures to make ‘enough’.

And NO, you are not just ‘playing small’ if you ‘settle’ for less than 7-figures.

You get to define ‘enough’ for yourself.

This is what I hear from female founders and creators what their ultimate goals are::

  • Travel more
  • Pay off a mortgage
  • Take my kids to Disney World
  • Be home of the school holidays
  • Replace my corporate salary
  • Help my partner retire

I think these goals are way more important and attractive!

It is my deepest wish for everyone in my community to achieve this.

And to achieve it without creating a business that needs all of you, all of the time.

Does that resonate with you?

If it does, I’m hosting a thing in a couple of weeks that you might want to check out. You can learn more here.

Cheers to building a business that supports your life!
